A chance meeting by Pauline of Susan at a UK dog show in the Summer of 2006 resulted in a visit by Pauline and Hugh to the world known Lokiboden kennels in Canada. Susan and Leigh welcomed them into their home for 2 days last September which proved to be very informative and educational.

Here in this album you will discover photographs of some of the current dogs in the yard as well as viewing some of Leigh’s detailed journals and training logs. Unfortunately the weather was to warm to take the dogs out for a training run. But Pauline and Hugh hope to visit on another occasion during the Winter months. They both learnt a lot from the discussions they had with Leigh and Susan regarding topics like interval training, the making and measuring of dog lines, the use of technology to record data for training logs, (Leigh uses the Garmin Forerunner 205  www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/us)  health care of dogs during racing and the importance of feeding the right diet and watering.
